Some Things Don’t Change

Tonight while I was writing my book review for Time and Again by Clifford D. Simak, I had the Paul McCartney concert from Thanksgiving night playing on my television. The special referred to past concerts in the stadium – the first one the Beatles did in the 1960’s and the last one at Shea Stadium with Billy Joel last year.

As McCartney appears on the New York new stadium stage the camera pans to some screaming women. My first thought was that over 40 years later females are still screaming for members of the Beatles. Later in the special McCartney discusses the same thing – comparing the first concert with this one.

And me? No, I never screamed for the Beatles any time in their career. But I like their music. And I was dancing in my chair as I was typing. Some things don’t change.
