Enchanter's End Game

Fantasy1/23/2000 Rating: 4 1/2 Scrolls

The Belgariad is pulled together to its final climax in this novel.  Pawn of the Prophecy was the beginning of this saga.  Garion, Aunt Polgara, Belgareth, Ce'Nedra and their companions are all pulled to the final meeting with the evil God Torak.  Garion, Belgareth, and Silk are traveling through Mallorean.  Ce'Nedra, Polgara, the many kings, and assorted friends are going to start a war to deflect attention from Garion.

The Prophecy that has guided their footsteps through the previous four novels continues with them.  Garion's inner voice continues to stay with him.  Ce'Nedra faces the realities of war and what she has started.  Torak calls to them both.  We also discover that when Torak wins the final battle Polgara is to be his bride.

This is an excellent conclusion to a riveting saga.   The young Garion we met grew slowly through Queen of Sorcery and Magician's Gambit, came into his inheritance in Castle of Wizardry.  Now he has to fulfill that foretold inheritance.  He has to come to the final meeting with Torak.

Once again, do not read this one without reading the first four.  It is captivating. This is a fantasy saga that should not be missed and I'm glad I finally discovered it.
