After discovering her fiance and her sister together, Vanessa Pembrooke takes her books , her research, and her fiance's research and leaves for Scotland. She is determined to be a scholar, a palentologist. Her father never allowed her near his work and her mother kept trying to make her into an empty headed Victorian miss like her sisters. But Vanessa knows women can be scholarly as well and decides to research on her own. Unfortunately, she doesn't know much about the ways of the world. She finds herself in danger when dining in a rough Scottish pub. The last thing she expects is for a handsome Scotsman to rescue her and marry her within a few minutes of meeting.

Although he is the Duke of Rothmore, Graeme Langford is half Scottish. He is hunting for the Stone of Destiny, a powerful magic stone rumored to once be the pillow Jacob slept on when he had his dream. He is certain it is in Scotland near his mother's home. The one is Westminster Abbey is a decoy. He happens in the tavern when Vanessa is about to be manhandled, probably raped. He claims her as his fiancee. Before the night is over, they are handfisted into marriage.

Neither Vanessa nor Graeme want to be distracted from their quest. But he won't let her explore the caverns on her own. When he sneaks off to do the same, she follows him. Although they have just met, they quickly learn that the other is stubborn - and a good companion on the types of research they both enjoy.

The Raven is determined to obtain the Stone of Destiny and the jewels that power it. He comes to Scotland with the threat of abduction and blackmail to get the jewels. When he realizes Graeme and Vanessa are in the way, he starts twisting others' minds to get what he wants. He doesn't care who gets hurt or killed along the way. In fact, he wouldn't mind in the least getting rid of the couple permanently.

Treasure Me is the final book in Robyn DeHart's Legend Hunters series. She brings back Nick and Esme Fielding from Seduce Me to assist in this novel.

Strong willed woman; handsome man; hidden caves and treasure hunting - what's not to like? Treasure Me is a captivating book that hooked me right in. Vanessa is certainly not the normal genteel Victorian lady. She doesn't even try to be. Graeme was raised by his English father but Scotland is his home as well. He never planned to marry and meant to pursue his treasure hunting instead. He didn't believe there was any woman who had the qualifications he felt necessary in a wife. DeHart takes these two characters and tells their story well. The Raven is sinister and daunting. How could anyone beat him? He even endangers Queen Victoria.

Treasure Me is a wonderful bit of escape that tells an exciting tale. It's fluff, but has depth. The romance reader would do well reading Treasure Me.
