Night WhispersJudith McNaught
Sloan Reynolds is a policewoman in a small town along the coast of Florida, not too far from Palm Beach. She does not realize she is being stalked. Instead she is busy with her job, her mother, and her friends. Finally, when she goes to a friend's beach party, she notices and stops the man following her. To her surprise, he is with the FBI and wants her to help him. Sloan had not had any contact with her father or sister since she was a baby. Now, she is asked to visit her wealthy father to spy on him. The FBI believe he is involved in illegal activities. Reluctantly she agrees to go to Palm Beach. In the luxurious surroundings of the other half of her family, Sloan meets her controlling father, her great-grandmother and the sister she did not expect to like. She also meets her sister's male companion, Noah Maitland. Both surprise her. Paris, her sister, has a side Sloan did not expect. Nor did she expect to find herself attracted to Noah. She cannot tell them her true reason for her visit. Now she is finding it very difficult to anticipate the end of the episode. This is a enjoyable bit of fluff. It held my attention and kept me entertained. This is fun diversional fiction. Notice: Explicit sexual situations |
