LegendJude Deveraux
Kady Long is a chef who runs the "in" restaurant in Alexandria, Virginia. She is engaged to her partner, Gregory, and looking forward to the wedding. She finds an antique photo and an silk wedding dress in an antique tin. She tries the fragile dress on, gets dizzy and almost passes out. When she revives, she finds herself back in the 1870s in Colorado. Her first action is to save a man from being lynched. And this is no ordinary man. Cole Jordan is a very attractive man. He also is one of the people in the old photo. Kady finds herself being attracted to this man. But he is in trouble. Kady starts to adjust to living in the past and helping Cole. There are people trying to take his land and cattle from him by any means possible. Kady has trouble shifting her 1990's mentality to 1870's thinking, but she tries. I had fun with this book. It was not as good as some of her other time travel books, especially Knight in Shining Armour, yet is enjoyable. Kady is introduced to Cole's remaining family who turn out to be ghosts. She feels obligated as well as attracted to this man. It twists and turns in many ways I was not expecting. You can find other reviews for this book at Notice: Sexual situations (non-explicit) |
