This is the last of the Chesapake Bay trilogy Ms. Roberts wrote. This is a wonderful conclusion. Phillip Quin was the third of the abused, hardened boys that Ray and Stella Quinn rescued shortly before he was a teen ager. They taught him how to turn from the hard life he had, how to believe in, accept, and give love, and how to be successful. Now he has banded together with his brothers to save the fourth boy Ray Quinn was trying to adopt when he died in a car accident. But there was more to this boy than his abusive past. He resembled Ray Quinn, yet Phillip and his brothers were sure Seth was not Ray's son despite the mother's claims. Dr. Sybill Griffin decided to visit St. Christopher to observe Seth and the family that wants to adopt him. She wants to see if Seth belongs with the Quinns or with his mother. She immediately attracts Phillip's attention. He wants to get past her clinical exterior and see the woman behind it. Phillip does not want to admit any more feelings than that. This concluding book brings the Quinns' story to a satisfying close. I enjoyed Inner Harbor immensely, and was glad to see the characters as they evolved. I also enjoyed the peek into Cam's and Ethan's marriages after the first two books. Once again, Nora Roberts pleases. Notice: Strong sexual content |
