Emily Ravenscroft's family is protecting her again. They are sure she is going to marry a man who only wants her for her money. He also has a grudge against the family business and would like to bring the Ravenscrofts down. Emily appears to be his method. So the Ravenscrofts send Jacob Stone to rescue Emily once again. Emily is furious. Once more her family has interfered. They sent Jacob Stone again, even though he no longer works for the Ravenscrofts. Emily had fallen in love with Jacob five years earlier when he rescued her from a kidnapper. She thought she was past those feelings. But seeing Jacob brings them back in full force. Now Emily wants to live her own life without her family's interference. She can deal with her parents and her brother. She's not sure how to deal with Jacob. Full Bloom is one of Krentz' earlier works. (It was a Harlequin or Silhouette Romance originally, I believe.) It is enjoyable and relaxing - a great beach book. Emily is a strong, independent character. Jacob is also strong, and is able to accept Emily as she is, not as her family wants her to be. Full Bloom is a good, quick reading romance. Notice: Strong sexual content |
