Eternity

Jude Deveraux

11/20/1998

Carrie Montgomery is the spoiled youngest sister of seven brothers. At their family home in Maine she usually can get her own way. Her newest scheme means travelling West as a mail-order bride. Since she is still under age she sneaks the paperwork past her father, then moves to Colorado to be Joshua Greene's wife.

Joshua is not pleased. He is expecting someone who can struggle with him on his farm. He needs someone who can care for his home and children. They marry by proxy. When Carrie shows up on his door step he does not know what this blonde beauty can do to help him.

While Carrie has been pampered all her life, she does have her head screwed on right. She can't cook, has never cleaned, and has never cared for a home or children on her own. But she is willing to learn, and immediately loves the children and their father.

Eternity is cute. Carrie is loveable, and willing to laugh at herself and her shortcomings. She knows Joshua doesn't really belong on a farm, but cannot figure his secret past. This is an easy read.
