Dreaming

Jill Barnett

2/15/1999

In this historical romance, Letitia Hornsby had fallen in love with Richard when they were young. Richard is the younger son of the Earl of Lennox and grows into a rebel. After he is grown, both his father and brother die unexpectedly, leaving him to be the Earl. By now his disreputation is ingrained.

Letty knows that she is the woman for Richard. Unfortunately, every time their paths crossed as adults she would have an accident and he would be injured. He avoids her as much as possible. He cannot be the hero he sees in her eyes.

Then the two of them become prisoners of a smuggling ring. Richard discovers there is more to Letty than the prissy, hero worshiping girl he knew. Letty discovers Richard really does have the heart of a hero. Yet he continues to push her away.

I thoroughly enjoy Jill Barnett's novels. This one is heartwarming and fun. It is a follow up to her novel, Bewitching, which is superb. There are characters in this story that are more fully explained in the first one, yet this novel stands on its own.
