Charity's life in Seattle as the CEO of a large department store chain has been put behind her. She has walked away from the company and now runs her own bookstore on the pier in a small town on the coast in Washington state. She is content and happy in her new life. Now it is being threatened by a new owner of the pier. Elias' company has become the major consultant for companies wanting to move into the Pacific Rim. He has been left property in a small Washington town. He goes there when he has come to a turning point in his business and has to decide its future. He now owns the pier in Whispering Cove where Charity's bookstore is located. As the two of them face off and learn about each other, they also find themselves embroiled in a local murder. Whispering Cove has become the site of some murders and a cult group waiting for aliens. Charity and Elias find bodies as they find themselves. This book is a fun, trashy romance. The two protagonists do not do stupid things putting each other off. They are intelligent and accepting of each other. There is no hidden agenda, no major surprises, and even no difficult mystery. This is just plain fun. Notice: Explicit sexual content |
