This book contains three novellas of romance in winter. Christmas somehow figures into each of these stories yet is not the central theme in two of the stories. Two of the novellas are part of the author's ongoing series of that family. Linda Howard revisits the Mackenzie family with this romance about the Mackenzie daughter, Maris, in "Mackenzie's Magic". Debbie Macomber returns to the Manning family when Carrie Weston tells a teen age girl how she was a teen age matchmaker for her mother. Now the teen decides to do the same for Carrie in "Silver Bells". The third story, "A Wild West Christmas" by Linda Turner also sounds like it could be part of a series. Cilla returns to her cousins' farm to visit. Unfortunately, she discovers the man who broke her heart ten years earlier doing the same thing. How can she avoid him? |
