All I Need Is You

Romance 6/16/1998 Rating: 3 Scrolls

This is a nice, easy romance. It takes place in the late 1800's in Texas.

Casey has an argument with her father. She is sure she can run a ranch. He is sure she cannot because the men would not respect a woman. So Casey runs away and is passing as a boy as she works as a bounty hunter. She will prove herself to her father anyway she can.

Damian is the tenderfoot from back East. While living in New York City his father is killed. The killer then fled to Texas. After private detectives fail to catch the killer, Damian decides to look for the murderer himself.

Casey, the bounty hunter, saves Damian's life after his stage was ambushed. Eventually he hires her to help him. She is scornful of his luxurious lifestyle. He cannot identify with her sparse one. From there, the misunderstandings and romance intrigal to this type of novel commence.

This novel is a nice diversion. Both characters take into the consideration their cultural differences which is important. A believable picture of Casey is drawn as she never really says she is male, but does not try to change that assumption when it is made. Again, this is a romance novel, so love conquers all misunderstandings, cultural differences, etc.

Notice: Strong sexual content
