Masters of the GameLaslo Horvath
This review is by Molly. Writer Horvath presents a synopsis of both his own existence and his life long study of truth along with giving the reader a glimpse at the path he traveled in the pilgrimage toward forming that philosophy. The opening line for this work states, "Robert De Ropp's book The Master Game had a profound influence on me back in my youthful folly days of spiritual seeking." Horvath gives credence to the notion that we each select the games we all engage in throughout the length of our lives from the most mundane of daily living undertakings to the deeper spiritual stratagems we achieve. The Cultural Upheaval of the 1960s here in the US was a time of rekindling of empathy for worldwide human sorrow and suffering. This most important of all aspects of living; that of achieving spiritual awareness is what De Ropp terms The Master Game. Masters of the Game is a highly intelligible work presented by skilful writer Laszlo Horvath. He takes a difficult subject and through ingenious writing has produced a remarkable publication. Masters of the Game pulls the reader into the narrative from the outset and holds attention fast in this succinct presentation perfect for an afternoon of thoughtful reading. This is not light hearted fare, but rather is a well crafted chronicle designed to cause the reader to think. Masters of the Game will perhaps guide readers as they contemplate their own walk through this life as we consider our connects with others, our personal philosophy for life and how we came to hold it important and our own spiritual history. Horvath helps us each realize that our life games are ones of our choosing whether ordinary, those of celebrity and authority, or ones of devotion and spirituality. Humans have long sought answers for preeminent purpose: Masters of the Game gives us something to consider as we continue our search for meaning in our own lives. 4/17/07 This ebook is no longer available at Awe Struck E Books.
