Sunday the Rabbi Stayed HomeHarry Kemelman
Rabbi Small once again finds himself involved in solving a local murder. It is Passover. His membership is factioned and threatening to split. Many of the young adults are home from college. David Small is trying to stay out of the board members politics, teach the young adults more about their faith, and prepare for the sacred holiday. In the story we visit back and forth with the two membership faction members, with the students, with the victim, the rabbi (of course) and even a shop owner and a drug dealer. Some people help set up the sotry, others are part of the story. Through it all, Rabbi prepares for Passover. And helps solve a murder. This novel is fair. It never caught my attention. I wanted to know what happened to who just because I was reading about it, but I really didn't care that much. You can learn more about this book at Friday the Rabbi Slept Late |
