Book Reviews by Readers

Ten years ago I decided I needed to learn how to create a web site. I started this small, personal site that talked about me, my family, my cats, and, oh, yeah, what I was reading at the time (I had just finished Ender's Game and Joy Luck Club and was reading Murder at Kennedy Center). Well, the personal stuff didn't change much, but the books did and the list kept getting longer. Soon I was putting each book on its own page. I gradually took down my college graduation pictures, the cat anecdotes, Highlander and Star Trek photos, but kept the books. Then I started organizing them into groups. All the personal stuff disappeared and Jandy's Reading Room became what you still see today. I've changed the appearance more than once, changed the programming and underpinnings of the site, and added an accompanying blog. Even so, the book reviews continue and look much like they did back in 1998. I hope this list gives you some suggestions for books you'd enjoy. Add a note to the blog and let me know.

Welcome to my pages of personal of book reviews that I (and others) have read. My favorite genres are Science Fiction, Mystery/Suspense, and Romance, but I read some of everything. Check out Jandy's Reading Room Blog and add your comments. I'll copy them and post them back on these pages.
