This book was reviewed by Niles. This is a rather a good story about an American prison. The warden has a fabulous way of curbing his overcrowding situation. The plot slowed to a trot in one or two places, but what sold me is how well the characters were drawn. A middle-aged white man and an aging Afro fellow are compelled to work to the common goal of uncovering the warden's scheming. I felt like I knew these men, as if they were there with me on the sofa. It's the first independently published book I've ordered, but it didn't disappoint. I found it at buybooksontheweb.com. |
