A Cat with a Fiddle by Lydia Adamson

Cozy MysteryA Cat with a Fiddle (Alice Nestleton Mystery) A Cat With a FiddleLydia Adamson; Signet 1993WorldCatAlice Nestleton is a good actor in New York who never quite makes the big time. So in between jobs (which is frequently) she cat sits.

She has been cat sitting for an occasional customer, Beth Stimson. Beth is on a retreat with her string quartet members and has decided she needs her cat with her. So Alice obligingly drives up to Massachusetts to deliver Lulu to Beth.

On her first evening at the retreat, the quartet’s occasional piano maestro is found with a chisel in his chest. The next day Alice drives in to town with a couple when the car is driven off the road. The accident seems to have been purposeful. So Alice starts putting her sleuthing abilities to work.

Once again Adamson’s novel was a pleasant read. A Cat with a Fiddle was not spellbinding, and I really didn’t care overly much what happened. Yet it was a good way to spend a snowy day.
