Stonecroft Academy, an exclusive high school in Cornwall-on-Hudson, New York, is celebrating the 20th anniversary of a prestigious class. Alumni include a playwright, a television producer, a television actress, a well known children’s psychiatrist, a famous comedian, a real estate magnate, and a historian/famous author.

Jean Sheridan, the historian who is a professor at Georgetown, is of two minds whether to come to this reunion. She had a terrible home life growing up in this small town. As a senior, she fell in love with a West Point cadet and got pregnant. He was killed in a hit-and-run auto accident just before graduation and never knew about the baby. She moved to Chicago, had the baby, and gave Lily up for adoption. She never forgot her baby but also never went looking for her.

The Owl has been killing for years. He has targeted the group of girls who sat together in the cafeteria mocking him ever since second grade when he flubbed his lines in a play.
